A lovely, well equipped, clean and warm holiday cottage which has been so nicely refurbished, with the most sociable, accommodating hosts we have come across in our years of self-catering. Our 3 elderly dogs were made so welcome from the outset and we never once felt that they were "tolerated" rather than fully accepted. Nikki & Jason understand that dog lovers are not likely to abuse the goodwill they offer in abundance. The views from the barn were outstanding and the local area was lovely, especially the beaches at Pembrey Park and Rhossili. I thought the concept of providing home cooked meals was a real brainwave and the food Nikki prepared was delicious. Even our fussy veggie son loved his Tuscan Bean Casserole! They are a charming young couple who have researched their business venture thoroughly, offering a lovely holiday to dog lovers with the added bonus of delicious home cooked food if wanted. Despite only staying for 3 nights, we felt like we'd had a proper holiday - very relaxing, clean, comfortable and friendly. The best self-catering accommodation bed I have ever slept in! Nikki's cooking is excellent and a real treat not to have to either cook or drive to a restaurant. We thoroughly recommend this place to anyone with or without dogs. Rhiannon Wheeler

A fantastic week in the snow! No trouble getting here but our hosts were ready to pick us up from the village and transport us, and all our belongings, dogs etc if necessary! Really felt that nothing was too much trouble - Nikki & Jason are wonderful hosts. The barn is stunning and well equipped - even a Christmas tree. And the meals were gorgeous. Paula Gladders

Fantastic! A superior cottage to most that cater for dogs. The views from the barn are stunning - we were higher than the clouds across the neighbouring counties. The air was so fresh up on the mountain and we saw a red kite most afternoons. The barn is toasty warm & the log burner was gorgeous!. The WiFi was a god-send too. We also sampled Nikki's cooking and had what has to be the best Lasagne we have ever tasted! Thanks again for a great break. Louise Angel Curry

An amazing break! The barn was lovely and the real fire was a novelty we loved - totally different to city life back in Birmingham. The dogs loved the walks, the lads loved the mountain bike trails. The only thing we have to figure out is when we can come again. Nicki J Fagan

No hesitation in giving 5 stars to Nikki & Jason for our stay. What a beautiful location, and the most wonderful, cosy barn to stay in. An excellent little homely retreat in the middle of some stunning countryside. Friendly, welcoming hosts. The barn was fully equipped, immaculately presented and utterly comfortable with some lovely touches and stunning views. The folders full of information were a brilliant touch. This was our first holiday away with our dog and we spent ages trying to find somewhere suitable that was truly dog friendly; a lot of places 'accept dogs' but Nikki & Jason come across as dog lovers who have carefully thought out a truly dog safe environment. We have recommended you to all our dog owning/mountain biking friends/family. Kym & Baz

Well, what can I say? Nikki & Jason are the most welcoming friendly hosts, to whom nothing is too much trouble. The views from the cottage are breath-taking and there are fantastic walks from the door. We all loved the barn and Nikki's little homely touches. There was everything you could need for a self-catering holiday and more! The evening meals we had were absolutely delicious. Very comfy beds! This is the first holiday with our dog where the garden really has been secure, so I was able to leave the door open and not worry about him getting out. Fantastic walks in Brechfa Forest too. We have to say it is the best place in Wales that we have ever stayed. Food was outstanding, company was excellent and there is so much to see and do. Great accommodation with beautiful view. Look forward already to our next visit. Adam Buicks
